KONE has been selected to deliver 59 elevators and 15 escalators for Burj Azizi, the planned 725-metre mixed-use tower under construction on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
The package includes a MiniSpace elevator designed for a continuous journey of 631.5 metres, along with elevator speeds of up to 10 metres per second. The contract value and delivery timetable were not disclosed.
KONE said the system will incorporate destination-control technology, lightweight hoisting equipment, connected monitoring and predictive-maintenance capabilities intended for high-rise operation.
Gardinia Building Contracting, a subsidiary of Azizi Developments, is serving as main contractor, while AE7 is the lead consultant. KONE booked the order during the third quarter of 2026.
The award advances a specialist package within the tower’s construction programme and will require installation, testing, commissioning, controls integration and continuing maintenance support. Details of any associated subcontracting or local supplier opportunities have not been disclosed.
