A joint venture of Hassan Allam Construction and Sterling & Wilson has won an estimated SAR750m (US$200m) contract to build the first phase of a HUMAIN and Center3 artificial-intelligence data centre in Riyadh.

The first phase will provide 16.2MW of IT-load capacity and is scheduled for delivery over 16 months. The contract covers civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, infrastructure and associated construction.

A second phase is planned to expand the site’s capacity to 50MW. The completed facility is expected to comprise one standard-density hall rated at 5MW and four high-density halls, each rated at 11.2MW.

HUMAIN and Center3, the digital-infrastructure subsidiary of STC Group, are jointly developing the project. The contract is separate from HUMAIN’s 250MW data-centre programme with Al Moammar Information Systems.

The Riyadh facility forms part of a wider HUMAIN–Center3 programme announced in December 2025 to develop up to 1GW of AI-focused data-centre capacity in Saudi Arabia, beginning with an initial tranche of up to 250MW.

The award moves the first Riyadh package into construction and creates delivery requirements across structural works, power systems, cooling, MEP, digital infrastructure and specialist commissioning.
