Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority has retendered the offshore seawater intake and outfall works required for the planned reverse-osmosis desalination plant on Hawar Island.
The engineering, procurement and construction package covers the seawater system that will serve the new Hawar seawater reverse-osmosis plant on the southeastern coast of Bahrain.
The intake and outfall scheme forms one of the interfaces supporting the desalination development. Separate works cover the main desalination plant and associated water storage, pumping and distribution infrastructure.
The value, revised tender reference, submission deadline and procurement timetable for the retendered package were not confirmed in the available announcement. These details should be checked against the formal Bahrain Tender Board documents when released.
