Technip Energies wins two five-year Aramco framework agreements

Technip Energies wins two five-year Aramco framework agreements

Saudi Aramco has awarded Technip Energies two five-year long-term agreements covering project preparation, consultancy and the execution of brownfield works at the energy company’s facilities.

The first agreement covers front-end engineering and co-ordination of project-management consultancy services. Its remit includes energy, downstream, petrochemical and lower-carbon developments, giving Technip Energies a role near the beginning of Aramco’s investment cycle.
The second framework covers engineering, procurement and construction services for brownfield and upgrade projects at Aramco’s onshore facilities. Potential assignments include modifications, modernisation, capacity expansion and performance improvements.

Neither company disclosed a committed contract value. As framework agreements, their eventual revenue will depend on the volume and size of individual work orders placed during the five-year period.

The appointments create a channel through which engineering and construction packages can be advanced more quickly, while offering opportunities for Saudi subcontractors, manufacturers and technical-service providers participating in subsequent work orders.
