HUMAIN and DataVolt have begun developing 100MW of AI-ready data-centre capacity at Oxagon, moving a major component of Neom’s digital infrastructure programme into construction.
The facility forms part of the 360MW first phase of DataVolt’s planned campus in the Red Sea industrial city. The wider development is ultimately intended to accommodate as much as 1.5GW, although the companies have not disclosed the capital cost or detailed package values.
HUMAIN, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, will contribute its capabilities across the artificial-intelligence technology stack. DataVolt will be responsible for developing, financing, delivering and operating the underlying data-centre infrastructure.
The first 100MW is intended for high-density AI and cloud-computing workloads and is expected to become available in 2028. The development model is likely to create packages covering power supply, cooling, server halls, network infrastructure and specialist mechanical and electrical works.
The start of construction gives suppliers a firmer timetable for the first phase and establishes Oxagon as an important destination for Saudi investment in computing and energy-intensive digital infrastructure.
