Oman housing ministry’s three international planning consultancies, including the National Spatial Strategy update, close 31 December
Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is running three international consultancy tenders on the Oman Tender Board for national and regional planning: the Oman National Spatial Strategy (ONSS) update (104/2026/MHUP/HQ-1), the Western Hajar Mountains structure plan (105/2026/MHUP/HQ-2) and the Al Batinah North structure plan (107/2026/MHUP/HQ-3). All three were published in mid-September and are open to consultants of Excellent or First grade.
Bids for all three close on 31 December 2026 at 19:00 Oman time, with technical bids opened on 3 January 2027 and priced bids on 5 January 2027 (two envelopes). Pre-bid clarifications run until 17 November. Document sales closed on 15 October (ONSS, Al Batinah North) and 17 October (Western Hajar), so the rounds are no longer open to new bidders. The document fee was RO300 each and the bond is 1% of the quoted value; values are not published.
What to watch: clarifications to 17 November, the 31 December closing, the technical opening on 3 January and the priced opening on 5 January 2027.
Scope: pipeline milestone, not an open invitation to bid.
