Azizi’s Sharjah workforce community moves towards site preparation

Published

Azizi Developments plans to begin site preparation later in October at its Al Sajaa workforce community in Sharjah, while enabling and shoring works are already under way at its Jebel Ali accommodation developments in Dubai, according to a company statement carried by regional publications.

The Sharjah scheme includes 36 residential buildings for more than 20,000 residents, alongside healthcare, retail, training and community facilities. It is located next to Azizi’s manufacturing operations in Al Sajaa.

The Jebel Ali Industrial 1 facilities cover more than 137,000 square metres and are intended to accommodate over 9,700 workers combined. The developer describes phased delivery continuing through late 2027.

The immediate milestone to monitor is the start of Al Sajaa site preparation, followed by confirmation of the construction and handover sequence. The published statement does not identify a new tender, bidding deadline, contract value or main-contractor award.

The announcement was already in circulation on 16 October 2026. TradeArabia’s 17 October report repeats the programme details. This record follows an ongoing development; it is not an announcement newly made on 18 October.

Last verified: 18 October 2026. The accessible published reports were reviewed; the developer’s original page was unavailable.
