Project summary

PTSC M&C says QatarEnergy awarded it the Maydan Mahzam EPIC-1 package on 13 September 2026, with execution scheduled from Q4 2026 to the end of 2031. Its scope includes offshore engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and modifications to existing facilities. The opportunity has shifted toward execution-stage supply and subcontract packages.

What to watch

Watch for contract implementation, engineering mobilisation and contractor-issued vendor or subcontract enquiries. Verify each proposed supply package and its commercial route independently.

Evidence and access caveats

The earlier frontrunner positions are outdated. PTSC M&C's primary announcement is dated 25 September 2026. The US$4–5bn figure is an estimated programme value, not an individual award value. October reporting identifies COOEC for EPIC-2, but its direct primary announcement was not retrieved; do not retain McDermott as the current EPIC-2 frontrunner.
