The Wadi’s AED6bn Yas Island development moves onto project watchlist

Cosmo Developments has launched The Wadi, an AED6bn ($1.63bn) mixed-use development planned along Yas Canal in Abu Dhabi.
The developer is a joint venture between Flag Holding Group and Reportage Group, with Reportage responsible for development, delivery and long-term management. The project will occupy an approximately 140,700-square-metre site.
Plans provide for 3,950 homes, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. The master plan also includes commercial space, recreational and sports facilities and a hotel.
The site is about five minutes by car from Zayed International Airport and is positioned within an emerging waterfront district that includes residential developments, national housing projects and canal-side public spaces.
No construction contractor, consultant, procurement schedule or completion date has been announced. The project should therefore remain under observation for design appointments, enabling works, infrastructure packages, main construction contracts, hotel development and associated landscaping and public-realm works.
