Technip Energies has secured a detailed engineering services contract from Larsen & Toubro Energy Hydrocarbon for a major ADNOC Offshore development in the UAE.
The French engineering group classifies the award as “significant”, representing between €50mn and €250mn of revenue. It recorded the contract in its technology, products and services segment during the third quarter of 2026.
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon leads the consortium previously selected by ADNOC Offshore to undertake engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning. The programme encompasses new offshore facilities and modifications to existing infrastructure.
Trade reporting identifies the assignment as detailed engineering for the first package of the Umm Shaif Gas Cap development. ADNOC took a $6.2bn final investment decision on the wider scheme in July, targeting more than 600mn standard cubic feet a day of additional gas production.
Technip Energies said it would use its regional engineering capabilities and experience in complex offshore developments. The appointment represents a downstream opportunity for specialist designers and engineering-service providers supporting the main EPCIC consortium.
