SLB wins OQEP contract for Bisat-B expansion in Oman

SLB has been awarded a contract by OQ Exploration & Production to deliver the Bisat-B Expansion Production Facility in Oman. The scope covers design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, followed by four years of operations and maintenance support.

The expansion will increase the facility’s gross fluids-handling capacity to 548,000 barrels a day and is scheduled for completion within 19 months. The contract value has not been disclosed. The award represents a significant execution-stage opportunity for process equipment, electrical and instrumentation systems, fabrication, construction support, logistics, commissioning and operating-services supply chains, subject to SLB and OQEP procurement arrangements.
