Saudi Arabia has intensified procurement activity linked to NEOM International Airport and the NEOM Business City project. Industry executives said new tender packages covering infrastructure, engineering and logistics facilities continue to emerge as authorities reposition NEOM towards more commercially viable sectors.
The airport project is expected to serve as a critical gateway into the broader NEOM region on the Red Sea coast, while the adjacent business district is intended to attract multinational corporations, technology companies and logistics operators. Informed sources said Saudi officials now view transport, industrial and commercial infrastructure within NEOM as more economically defensible than some of the project’s earlier experimental concepts.
Contractors expect further airport, mobility and utilities tenders to emerge across NEOM in the coming months, although many believe authorities will prioritise phased implementation rather than simultaneous delivery of multiple mega-projects.
