Oman Intensifies Airport Expansion Procurement to Support Tourism Growth

Oman has accelerated procurement linked to airport upgrades and regional aviation infrastructure as authorities seek to strengthen tourism connectivity and support economic diversification.

The projects include terminal expansions, cargo facilities and transport systems tied to Muscat International Airport and regional airports in Salalah and Duqm. Industry executives said the procurement packages reflected growing emphasis on tourism, logistics and cargo transport.
