MEED reports Ras Markaz tender for 5.2m-barrel storage expansion

MEED reported on 16 October 2026 that Oman Tank Terminal Company, OTTCO, had issued an engineering, procurement and construction tender for an expansion of the Ras Markaz oil storage park.

The reported TradeBridge phase 1.4 package comprises eight tanks, each with capacity of 650,000 barrels, giving combined additional storage of 5.2 million barrels. This is storage capacity, not a contract value.

According to MEED, prequalification began in July and its final submission date was 19 August. The main EPC tender followed subsequently; the report does not establish its exact issue date or a current bid deadline. It should therefore not be described as a tender newly launched on 16 October.

The current official EPC notice, eligibility, procurement access and contract value have not been independently confirmed.
