McLaren wins BAY360 main construction contract in Dubai

Sweid & Sweid has appointed McLaren Construction as the main contractor for BAY360, a mixed-use waterfront development at Jumeirah Lakes Towers in Dubai. The developer announced the appointment on 7 October. It did not disclose the contract value.

Enabling works have been completed, with main construction commencing in October and completion scheduled for the first quarter of 2028.

McLaren’s package includes site preparation, structural construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, façades and interior fit-out. It also covers lifts, escalators, landscaping and hardscape for the retail and office buildings and basement parking.

BAY360 will occupy land partly reclaimed from Lake D. The scheme combines shops and dining with wellness and recreational facilities, landscaped areas and waterfront public spaces. Improved pedestrian connections are intended to make the lakefront more accessible.

The award renews a relationship established through the delivery of 6 Falak in Dubai Internet City in 2024. No separate supplier invitation or subcontract bidding deadline is included in the developer’s announcement.
