Kuwait awards $381m GC-25 and GC-30 oil facilities contract

Kuwait Oil Company has awarded India’s Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited a KWD117m (about $381m) contract covering major new processing and water-injection facilities at Gathering Centres 25 and 30.
At GC-25, the scope includes new three-phase low-pressure separation facilities, gas handling, effluent-water treatment, chemical injection, fire protection, substations and associated civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works. GC-30 will receive treated-water filtration and high-pressure injection facilities with capacity of about 500,000 barrels of water a day, together with pipelines, tie-ins and supporting infrastructure.
The contract covers engineering through construction, commissioning and performance testing, making this a substantial new execution-stage opportunity for equipment manufacturers, specialist subcontractors, instrumentation providers and other upstream suppliers.
