Kuwait Ports Authority awards KPMG lead role on its new strategic plan under tender 3/2025-2026
Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) has assigned KPMG in Kuwait to lead preparation of its strategic plan under tender no. 3/2025-2026, Al-Rai and Al Jarida reported on 3 November 2026. KPMG will act as lead consultant, supported by Haskoning Nederland B.V. and Dar Gulf Consult for Engineering Consultancy on the engineering side, with the aim of improving the competitiveness, connectivity and performance of Kuwait’s commercial ports.
The scope has two tracks. The first covers strategy development, planning and an implementation framework, including an assessment of KPA’s market position and current performance, followed by detailed plans for its business areas with key performance indicators, a risk framework and a follow-up plan. The second sets up a strategic technical support office, led by KPMG for 36 months, to provide strategic oversight, technical advice and project management support.
This is an awarded consultancy contract, not an open tender. Both reports carry the same text and quote KPMG partners; they appear to be based on one KPMG announcement. No contract value was disclosed, no award or signing date was published, and KPA’s own announcement has not been seen.
What to watch: A KPA statement on the contract and the first outputs of the 36-month support office.
