King Salman Gate outlines opportunities for Saudi building-services suppliers
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and Rua AlHaram AlMakki have outlined potential supply-chain opportunities for the King Salman Gate development in Makkah, according to a Saudi Press Agency report published on 21 October 2026.
At a workshop at the ministry’s headquarters, the developer identified construction-related demand including heating, cooling and air-conditioning equipment, electrical appliances, telecommunications systems, lifts and fire-protection products. Industrial investors and engineering and consultancy offices attended.
The session also covered supplier-qualification programmes and requirements for local manufacturers, with an emphasis on product quality and increasing local content. Rua AlHaram AlMakki, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, is the main developer of the project beside the Grand Mosque.
The report describes supplier engagement rather than a contract award or an invitation to bid. It does not identify individual procurement packages, contract values, submission deadlines or an open supplier-registration round. Package-specific notices and qualification requirements remain the next information to watch.
