Jeddah Opens New Stormwater Drainage Tenders

Jeddah Municipality has opened bidding for two new stormwater drainage projects as the city continues investment in infrastructure designed to improve rainwater management across expanding urban districts.

The tenders cover drainage works in the Prince Fawaz neighbourhood, according to project intelligence published by MEED on 27 August 2026. The new packages are intended to increase stormwater handling capacity and provide additional protection for roads, residential areas and municipal infrastructure.

The latest procurement adds to Jeddah’s wider programme of drainage and flood-management works, an infrastructure category that has generated recurring civil-engineering packages as the city expands.

The precise contract values and submission deadlines were not disclosed in the accessible project report, so these should be treated as open opportunities with value and closing date presently unconfirmed, rather than estimated.

The packages are expected to be relevant to contractors specialising in underground networks, drainage channels, pipelines, earthworks, road reinstatement and associated municipal engineering services.

For suppliers and subcontractors, projects of this type can also generate demand for precast structures, pipes, pumps, excavation equipment and specialist water-management systems as the contracts move toward construction.
