Developers are preparing bids for a 730MW brownfield utility project serving Saudi Arabian petrochemical company Petrokemya.

The proposed plant is intended to supply both electricity and steam to Petrokemya under a 20-year energy-conversion agreement, creating a substantial long-term power and industrial-utilities opportunity. MEED reported the bidding activity on 22 September.
