Danantara completes Thakher Makkah land acquisition

Danantara Indonesia announced on 19 October 2026 that it had completed the acquisition of 4.4 hectares of land in Thakher Makkah. The transaction closed on 18 October, following its earlier acquisition and handover of the 1,461-room Novotel Thakher Makkah on 11 August.

The land is intended for phased hospitality, retail and supporting facilities with local development partner Al-Khomasiah. Feasibility studies, approvals and licensing documentation will be prepared for each development stage.

The announcement does not disclose the land acquisition price, future construction value or procurement timetable. The transaction secures land for the planned expansion; it does not establish an awarded construction package.
