Kuwait tenders agency defers KAPP’s request to tender consultancy studies for Al-Nuwaiseeb power and water plant Phase 1, Al-Rai reports

The board of Kuwait’s Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has deferred a decision on the request by the Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) to tender a practice for consultancy studies for Phase 1 of the Al-Nuwaiseeb power generation and water desalination plant, Al-Rai reported on 8 November 2026. CAPT is waiting for a follow-up letter from KAPP with the amendments discussed, which KAPP is to send within five working days.

The deferral gives KAPP time to complete the amendments and resubmit the request so that CAPT can decide on it.

Not confirmed: the amendments, the scope and value of the consultancy, and when the practice will be issued. The CAPT decision itself has not been read.
