Burjeel and Proximie set four-stage operating-room technology programme

AiMed Solutions, part of Burjeel Holdings, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Proximie for a four-stage programme to develop operating-room technology, Emirates News Agency reported on 22 October 2026.

The programme builds on the ongoing installation of Proximie’s surgical-intelligence platform in 10 operating rooms at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi. Burjeel’s ONE OR initiative identifies 45 functional requirements for the joint development work.

The planned stages cover real-time room and workflow information, AI-assisted documentation, operational monitoring and bed management. Later stages are intended to extend the technology to endoscopy, cardiac catheterisation and interventional-radiology facilities, followed by instrument tracking and performance measurement.

This is a technology-development MoU supporting an existing hospital deployment, not evidence of a separately awarded construction or equipment contract. The announcement did not disclose a programme value, implementation dates for the four stages or an open procurement process. No package-specific procurement requirements were announced.
