NWC completes Baljurashi sewer projects costing more than SAR214m

National Water Company has completed sewerage projects in Baljurashi governorate, in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Baha region, at a combined cost exceeding SAR214 million, according to an 11 October Saudi Press Agency report.

The infrastructure includes a tertiary wastewater treatment plant using bio-membrane technology, with a capacity of 6,250 cubic metres a day. The works also comprise approximately 46 kilometres of sewer networks, more than 17 kilometres of main lines and two pumping stations.

Coverage extends to Al-Salam, Al-Khaleej, Al-Marwa and Al-Ra’id districts, alongside parts of several surrounding villages. NWC has invited customers in the areas served to request household sewer connections through its app or website.

The reported cost covers the group of completed projects rather than a newly awarded individual contract. The announcement did not identify construction contractors or specify a separate physical completion date.
