Bahwan Veolia reports five-year Al Asilah O&M contract

Bahwan Veolia Water has been awarded a five-year contract to operate and maintain Oman’s Al Asilah desalination plant, according to a company release published by mid-east.info on 20 October 2026.

The client is Al Asilah Operation and Maintenance LLC. The scope covers the 80,000-cubic-metre-a-day plant and its on-site solar photovoltaic farm.

The release says Al Asilah serves 200,000 residents. The 600,000-person figure refers to the combined contribution of Al Asilah and Sur, not Al Asilah alone.

The contract was already reported on 15 October, so the later release is not evidence of a new 20 October award. GCC Tender News has not independently verified the contract signature, price or commencement date.
