Bahri and IMI sign SAR1.692bn contract for three VLCCs

Bahri announced on 25 October 2026 that it had signed a shipbuilding contract with International Maritime Industries (IMI). IMI will construct three very large crude carriers at its Saudi Arabian facility for Bahri.

The contract is worth approximately SAR1.692 billion for the three vessels. Each vessel has a capacity of 320,000 deadweight tonnes, with deliveries phased between 2029 and 2030.

This is a signed construction contract, not an invitation for subcontract bids. The exact signing date is not separately established by the announcement. No downstream bid deadline or international supplier eligibility is disclosed.
