Abu Dhabi signs smart-mobility partnerships and delivery pilot MoU
Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre announced partnerships covering autonomous transport, testing facilities and last-mile delivery at LIVEX 2026 on 14 October. The agreements bring together technology companies and public-sector transport bodies, with several initiatives still at exploration or pilot stage.
An MoU with Teleflux provides for a remotely operated vehicle pilot in last-mile delivery. The programme will assess safety, operating efficiency and the scope for expansion before potential commercial deployment.
The centre also agreed to explore robotics and drone testing with e&, using technologies including 5G and artificial intelligence. Centra Mobility Solutions will work on testing and certification environments, including the TestHub facility, while an MoU with Avantguard Holding covers positioning services and digital mapping.
Other partnerships address policy and safety-testing coordination with Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, aviation training and trials with Emirates Falcons Aviation, and oversight of Abu Dhabi’s Automated Rapid Transit project with Abu Dhabi Transport Company.
The announcement did not disclose contract values, tender deadlines or an open procurement process. It sets out cooperation and pilot activities rather than confirming competitively awarded construction or technology packages.
