Abraj signs five-year PDO contract for nine workover hoists
Abraj Energy Services announced on 27 October 2026 that it had signed a five-year contract with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to deploy nine workover hoists. The contract value was not disclosed.
The package comprises three existing units and six new-build units. The hoists will support operations in northern and southern Oman, with phased mobilisation planned from the fourth quarter of 2027 to the third quarter of 2028.
This is a signed service contract, not an open tender. The nine-unit Abraj scope should not be combined with earlier drilling or fracturing contracts, or with separately reported units for other contractors.
What to watch includes delivery of the six new-build units and the stated mobilisation programme. The announcement did not identify an open supplier or subcontractor bidding process.
